Commodities Prices at all-time high

26 April 2008

Rice, oil, gold, anything that's worth its salt are at all-time high prices.
Stock market is in a turmoil due to US sub-prime spiraling.
Property is at a standstill. Enbloc fever is gone. For those who made a quick pile, like the Farrer Court owners, they are damn lucky. The rest of the mature-property owners are left to regret on on signing their enbloc papers.

HFM Disease

26 April 2008

Tyen Haan is down with Hand Foot Mouth Disease. I think it's his third time this life. Either his resistance is low or his personal hygiene is poor. Else, he won't be unlucky during every "epidermic".

This time, more than 10 schools have been closed for 10 days to clean things up. And 7 children have died.

A Mummy's Anguish

Mothers are great.
We worry if the kids have enough to eat.
We worry if they eat too much.
We make sure they have enough toys to keep busy.
We worry that they are spoilt rotten with too much toys.
We worry if they don't read by a certain age.
We worry if they read too much (and start wearing glasses)
We feel guilty if we don't spend enough time with them.
We feel overwhelmed when we spend too much time with them.
Before we have them, they were the only thing we ever wished for.
Once we have time, we live their lives. And we lose ourselves along the way.

After we have them, we appreciate our mothers even more.
